National Night Out - October 13th

Residents of The Woodlands are being asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend an evening outside with neighbors on

SUNDAY OCTOBER 13th, FROM 3PM to 6PM.      

as part of National Night Out.

Please consider having a national night out party with your neighbors. Neighbor knowing neighbor is one of the most effective ways to prevent crime. You can access a party planning guide at Woodlands Township NNO Party Planning Gudie  and register your party at National Night Out Party Registration. Local law enforcement and The Woodlands Fire Department will briefly visit with residents of many of the registed neighborhood parties.

National Night Out celebrates our police-community partnerships. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 4’s commitment to community policing must include you, the community.

What is National Night Out?

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. National Night Out is designed to:

    • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.
    • Generate support for local anti-crime efforts.
    • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
    • Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

National Night Out Car Seat Check - Sept. 5th

Texas law requires a child up to 8 years old to ride in a child safety seat (unless taller than 4’9”).

Thursday, September 5, 2019 - 9 to 11:30 am        

Certified technicians from Safe Kids and Texas Children’s Hospital will be on hand to check the installation of your child’s car seat from 9 to 11:30 am.

Car seat checks are FREE and open to the public. Appointments are not necessary; however, priority will be given to those who schedule an appointment. Please visit www.mocokids.org to schedule.
 
Please bring your child, your child’s car seat and your vehicle and vehicle owner’s manual. Also learn about valuable crime prevention tips and resources from The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch.

The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch invites you to come and experience the lights and sirens of public safety at the National Night Out Community Safety Expo. This FREE hands-on event is fun for all ages and offers the opportunity for residents to meet and thank the public safety agencies that keep our community safe!

Entertainment and public safety demonstrations are scheduled throughout the event and include:

  • Experience the lights and sirens of public safety equipment
  • Explore a fire truck, police patrol vehicle and more!.
  • Tour the mobile command units of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security.
  • Climb aboard a mine resistant tank and see the equipment of Homeland Security and other agencies
  • Watch public safety demonstrations by law enforcement K-9’s in detection and criminal apprehension.
  • The Woodlands Fire Department Firefighters demonstrating their equipment and offering fire safety tips
  • Montgomery County Hospital District presenting a how-to demonstration of Hands-Only CPR.
  • Representatives from Entergy showcasing the dangers of contact with power lines.
  • Enjoy the kid zone bounce house, face painting,games and crafts.
  • Free food while supplies last.

Enjoy live music from Vinyl Arcade.
